•15 October 2007 – Thank you to Hoyts who have kindly provided us with an amazing venue for Screen Machine. Full details of the launch of the trailer for Addiction and the rest of the night’s program will be provided soon…

•10 October 2007 - Welcome aboard Aussie Magnets! This is a sponsor who is providing us with magnets and magnetic sheeting to help dress vehicles and make them look like police and emergency vehicles. Thank you Aussie Magnets!

•6 October 2007 – Allen Moore of Big Dog Bites, and Alex Scott of Growing Brain, revamp the old Addiction poster.

•1 October 2007 – Today marks the birth of SCREEN MACHINE, an evening that will showcase some amazing shorts, music clips and docos including the long awaited launch of the trailer for Addiction. This night will be made possible due to the collaboration of Keep It Reel Films & Growing Brain. More details coming soon….

•22 September 2007 – Ascher Color Services P/L is on board as a sponsor and have agreed to supply all the dyes and chemicals that are needed to make the thousands of litres of blood, Xtreme and other substances needed for FX that will appear in the feature film of Addiction.

•18 September 2007 – Keep It Reel’s Mark Aquilina is officially credited as the blood splatter wrangler for his very bloody special effects work on The Gates of Hell, a film directed by Kelly Dolen, produced by David Parker of Cascade Films, and edited by James Cole of Hysteria Productions.

•4 September 2007 - Australian Safety Wear is going to keep all of Addiction’s cast and crew well seen and protected. They have supplied Keep It Reel with plenty of safety vests, ear muffs, ear plugs and lots more! They are the official sole provider and sponsor for all our safety wear.

•26 August 2007 – Growing Brain’s Alex Scott completes the new poster & DVD slick for Addiction (with the white background). An amended version can also be seen in the background of the home page of this website

•20 August 2007 - Xtreem Technology will be supplying all DVDs, DVD covers, DVD labels, thermal printing and DVD duplication and burning. The thermal printing has to be seen to be believed. It is as good, if not better than what is seen on most premium DVDs. Keep It Reel is proud to have them on board as a sponsor.

•19 August 2007 – Snap, the short film starring Georgia Versluys (from Wrath of the Madalorian, the best Star Wars fan film ever), directed by Kelly Dolen (The Gates of Hell, Reign in Darkness), filmed by David Parker (Malcolm), and edited by James Cole (Hysteria Productions) is now complete. It is a drama about relationships and how things can change in an instant (the time it takes to snap a photo). Mark Aquilina of Keep It Reel was the unit manager for this film.

•1 July 2007 - Addiction is now one of few Australian feature films to still have a Provisional 10BA Certificate. This means that eligible investors and people providing us with professional services should receive 100% tax deduction in the year of their investment. It will also mean that we can provide them with a share in the feature film. (For more details see Investors & Sponsors)

•15 June 2007 – Alex Scott of Growing Brain and Mark Aquilina of Keep It Reel join forces to tackle the final post production work on the concept material for Addiction.

•7 May 2007 – The 9th draft of the script for Addiction is now complete. This draft places a lot more emphasis on the relationships between the characters; makes the over the top action scenes more grounded, grittier and tougher; and adds a new climax.

•30 March 2007 – Addiction wins the Best of the Rest Award at the Dereel Independent Film Festival.

•16 March 2007 – Addiction is selected as one of 15 finalists and screens at the Shepparton Shorts Film Festival.

•1 March 2007 – Addiction wins second place in the short films segment of the Adelaide International Film festival. Mark, Elena & Bronson Aquilina were all at the festival to accept the award. Addiction was beaten by just one vote (perhaps Mark should have voted for some other short film..). The winner of the short films segment was a very funny and quirky short about W.M.D. that were being sold in a similar fashion to those crazy warehouse clearance sales seen on T.V.
